Gelarex cream has been shown in clinical trials not to cause irritation or burns if left on the skin for an extended period of time. But for best results and a quick healing effect, the gel should be used according to the instructions provided.

How to use in the treatment of hemorrhoids

A small amount of Gelarex is sufficient

The problem itself is in the delicate area, so you need to be careful when using the cream. We recommend that you follow the steps below:

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly, clean the outside of the skin and the affected areas inside the duct with a soapy solution to remove any traces of defecation.
  2. Allow the cleaned areas to dry or wipe with a clean, dry cloth (it is better not to use paper as it may leave fiber particles behind).
  3. Apply a small amount of cream to your fingers and spread it inside and out directly on the hemorrhoids. There is no point in applying much of the product as it has a concentrated composition. In addition, it forms the thinnest film on the surface to protect against pathogenic microorganisms and bacteria, which prevents further absorption of the ingredients, which reduces the effectiveness of the drug.
  4. Wait until the cream is completely absorbed, if necessary, remove the excess with a napkin.

Depending on the stage of the hemorrhoids, the duration of treatment may be 15-30 days, the cream should be applied twice a day, morning and evening. You should not take a break as the medicine has a cumulative effect and will only take full effect when a certain concentration of the active substance is reached.

How to use to prevent hemorrhoids

In cases where the hemorrhoids have no visible symptoms but some discomfort or constipation occurs, Gelarex cream can be used for prophylactic purposes. In this case, a single use of the drug for 10-15 days is sufficient to normalize the condition and prevent further progression of the disease.

The undoubted advantage of the drug is its prolonged effect. It works for 8-10 hours after application. It protects against the symptoms of hemorrhoids for 4-6 months at the end of treatment or prophylaxis. It is currently one of the best anti-hemorrhoid drugs in the Czech Republic and is recognized by all doctors.
